Cards

Each card has a unique ability.

ATOM

Atoms discard 1 card from anywhere on the opponent’s field. Use just 1 for a Minor Milestone!
– Discard-after-use card.

MAGNET

Magnets attract (opposite sides) and repel (same side) other Magnets. Use 2 for a Minor Milestone!
– Tap-after-use card.

TEMPORAL

Temporal gives you extra actions, or takes them away from the opponent. Use 3 for a Minor Milestone!
– Discard-after-use card.

THERMAL

Thermal freezes (taps) stacks and burns (discards) single cards. Use 4 for a Minor Milestone!
– Tap-after-use card.

VOID

– Void pulls card from your side into itself, creating a stack. Make a stack 5 to earn a Minor Milestone!
Reusable card.

It cannot pull stacks larger than itself.

GRAVITY

Gravity pulls opponent cards into itself, creating a stack. Make a stack ≥ 6 to earn a Minor Milestone!
Reusable card.

It cannot pull stacks larger than itself, Magnets, or stacks containing Magnets.

Boons

In Advanced Play, you win by reaching 3 Major Milestones, 3 Gravity Milestones, or 3 Dead-End Milestones.
To aid you in this increased challenge, you are granted powerful Boons that will affect the way you play.

This Boon is called Frostbite. It is one of the rewards for maintaining both a Temporal and Thermal Milestone.

It reads: "If no opponent cards are Frostbitten, the next one to act becomes so: Frostbitten cards are permanently tapped." A tapped card cannot act during a player's turn.

At the moment, Boon cards are a stretch goal for this project. However, we have described 15 in the base-game so you can try them out early!

This Boon is called Lightning. It is the reward for maintaing Magnet Milestone 1.

It reads: "Whenever there are at least 2 Magnets on your side of the field, you may discard 1 stand-alone card from the opponent's field for free."

If you have played Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon TCG, or other similar strategy card games, you will be very familiar with the way Boons work. They are Milestone’s version of card abilities, with the unique twist of having to be earned before they can be used: Each player starts a match with just one opening Boon, but you can collect others mid-match to synergize  with and maximize your deck’s strengths!
